Matthew H. Blomquist, M.D.

Dr. Blomquist received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton (IL) College, and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. After completing an internship in internal medicine at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Blomquist completed his radiology residency at the Pennsylvania State University Hospital (Milton Hershey Medical Center), serving as chief resident his final year. The capstone of his training was a Body Imaging Fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he earned subspecialty distinction in Cross-Sectional Imaging. Dr. Blomquist joined as an associate with Boulder Radiologists, Inc. in 1997 and became a partner in 2000. Dr. Blomquist enjoys the diversity of this private practice, the collegiality of BRI’s subspecialists, and the fulfilling interactions with the medical staff at Boulder Community Health’s campuses. Dr. Blomquist is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Colorado Radiological Society, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Boulder County Medical Society. He has served on a variety of hospital-based committees at Boulder Community Health, including the Trauma Services Committee, the Medical Executive Committee, and the Clinician Health and Well-Being Committee. Dr. Blomquist and his wife and children count it a true privilege to be here in Colorado. His interests outside of work include mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and alpine skiing.
